Hopefully it is just phase. I know this is definatly cliche, movie-like and corny, but all it can take is 1 girl and suddenly you're a whole new person.
Not trying to play psychologist or anything, but growing up, did you have a female role model? Such as a mother who was always there? Just a thought, but maybe a lack of feminine association growing up could have under-developed your more..caring side.
