"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Every other thread is a rant. People need to grab their balls, go out sarging, and post some FRs.

It's a bit annoying when the first page has about 3-4 of these "Yup, I'm depressed" threads. Blogging on this forum probably won't help you get over your depression.

In other news, I get the decision from Harvard in 19 hrs, holy shyt

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

haha, agreed.

But look at the title of this forum- "High School Forum."

It's normal for hormonal teenagers to be all depressed "Nirvana, slit your wrists, woe is me" style. (Which is why I was against Highschoolers gaming- turbulent times in their lives- don't really need more complication from girls.)

Anyways, you'd be surprised how much more helpful it is to vent it all out. But maybe not here....talk to your friends about it. Not us. This is a dating site.

g'luck and good night.

Good luck on the decision from Harvard. By the way, is anyone in here planning on going to the University of Michigan next year? I'll be going, so I was just wondering if anyone else is.

I totally agree half of the people on this forum must be EMO or GOTHS and must slit their wrists. If you NEED help go see a damn therapist or suck it up, part of being a DJ is having a healthy straightfoward attitude and b*tching like chicks isn't a manly thing to do. If your depressed go get a hobby or go pick a fight.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

These kids dont need help or a therapist. Their lives are sh*tty so they feel a little down, but in reality their not that bad. All depression is is time to reasses ones life. These passified wankers need to get some goals and stop being so GODDAMN EMO!

Well all I'm gonna say is that I'm not emo, and definately not goth. I may've made a thread about how I'm depressed, and I may've dated a hella emo, bordering goth chick, but that's only made me hate emo and goth people even more. I may've drifted a little into emoness. But now I feel like a normal person again! And boy am I happy. I'm never dating an emo chick or befriending an emo person again.
