By the way, OP is trolling us all (actually only the ones that are stupid enough) with "whataboutism".

The USA sanctioning Cuba might not be the most righteous thing, but it doesn't mean what is happening in Ukraine is justified (being invaded by a big fat ugly bully).

Even if what the USA did to Cuba was 100% wrong (which is not, obviously), it has nothing to do with the fact that RuZZia is invading Ukraine, and it does not mean RuZZia suddenly has every right in the world to invade Ukraine.

OP, if you happen to be residing in the West, I suggest you leave and move your sorry azz to somewhere better, for example the Middle East or especially RuZZia. Why the fvck not?

Maybe because USA is the biggest bully of them all and doesn't like competition?

Or perhaps our inbred Elites are the biggest bullies and the USA is merely the biggest tool.

Why the hell not? Why the hell is it wrong for them to do what the US does everyday? What does Ukraine have to do with us? Ah yes, I too love my money laundering and trafficking schemes! That sure says American spirit!

The problem is that Cuba is old news at this point. The Cuban Revolution, a communistic revolution, was in 1959.

The notion that Cuba never hurt anyone is laughable.

Cuba had an alliance with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the early 1960s. There were Soviet missiles in Cuba in 1962. The Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 was a big deal at the time.

Fidel Castro sent the worst of Cuba's jails and mental institutions to the United States (mainly Miami) in 1980 in the Mariel Boatlift. The 1983 movie "Scarface" is based on the Mariel Boatlift immigrants. Marielitos brought a lot of crime and violence to the USA.
Sure, Cuba had Soviet nukes. Turkey, Belgium, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands had (and in many cases still have) U.S. nukes on their soil. What's good for goose is good for the gander?

As for Castro sending "the worst" out of Cuban jails and mental institutions to the United States, last time I checked, Castro did not set U.S. immigration policies. The U.S. government does that. Americans could have sent those refugees right back to Cuba but, for political reasons, they did not. You can't blame Castro for exploiting the political divisions (and sheer stupidity) of his enemy. It was a brilliant move on his part.

Fidel Castro took advantage of Jimmy Carter's ineptitude with the Mariel Boatlift.

So any time someone points out U.S. hypocrisy, it's "whataboutism"? Well, isn't that convenient.

The fact of the matter is that USA and Russia are two sides of the same coin. They both interfere in the affairs of other states when they consider that to be in their national interest. And of the two, the U.S. is by far the greater offender. The number of civilians killed by Russia in Ukraine is absolutely minuscule compared to civilian deaths caused by American "misadventures" in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. In Iraq alone, close to 1 million people died as a result of the U.S invasion. All because the CIA and certain other elements of the U.S government knowingly lied about weapons of mass destruction. In constant, civilian casualties in Ukraine are around 7,000. And USA is supposed to be the "good guys" in all of this?

And how many of those 7,000 are ethnic Russians killed by US funded neo-nazis?

Americans do not like bullies.
Right, but they to bully and hunger countries if they don't go inline with what they want. America use sanctions to penalize any country not inline with its policies, usually economic sanctions which usually people of that nation get pay the highest price.

Due to US sanctions on Cuba, people there are struggling to get food, there are long waiting for lines for even to buy eggs or milk. the situation is very bad, even though they never hurt anyone. Yet Americans are crying to what happening to Ukraine but ignoring they are letting another nation die from hunger.
This is an example of how state media direct the emotions of people to where they want.
They know the conditions needed to comply with to remove the trade embargo. They choose not to comply. It's their choice. Clearly the government could care less about its own people, maybe you should start there.
