"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

In order as a PUA to pick up women, we have to know what women want. Is it just sex, the physical pleasure? Most men believe this is what they are ultimately seeking. Is it laughing to pass the time of our lives pleasurably? I suppose most women are seeking this as a prelude to sex.

I think for me, my greatest hunger in my relations with people is to build a connection with them. I want to feel as though my true self (not a fake self) is being recognized and appreciated. It's not necessarily profound subjects that bring it out, it can be very light ones. But the most important part is that I want to feel understood, I want to feel funny and interesting. Is that what women are looking for too?

Neg hits are of course designed to make people *realize* they want your kindness, so that it's that much sweeter when they get it. It's basically similar in principle to a commercial with oozing, warm chocolate or whatever else.

Not a very clear question I guess, I'm just trying to figure out why we go through so much trouble.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I never really thought about it in these terms, but I feel the same way! I find it very fulfilling to have a woman desire me and I think a fake persona takes a lot away from that feeling.

I also enjoy dating a lot. I like to be out with a girl, having fun, getting to know her, sharing conversations and experiences etc. I've been with my girlfriend almost 6 months and we are still dating and having fun.

We go through the trouble because we want yet another thing in our lives that brings us happiness. Of course, this is assuming that you're not just looking to get laid.

That would be the ideal> Do you think it's realistic? I think that in a lot of cases people are looking to get dates more to end lonliness than to add another joy to our lives. I'll tell you straight up that this has been the case for me, and still is sometimes.

These days I justify chasing after women by saying that it gets me off my arse and improving myself. No small benefit, nor is it a small motivation...

Do you really know anybody who is dating to add "yet another joy?" I love women but they are a pain to keep around sometimes! It takes a gargantuan effort to keep a marriage working, for example.

Well, I'm a little wiser than when I first replied to this thread, so I think I can give you a better answer now...

Have you and a friend of yours ever gone out, just the two of you, to do something? It's the same kinda thing with a girl you're dating; you want to spend time with her and have fun. The difference is that there's sexual attraction as well, and therefore kino, kissing, etc. Once again, this is assuming you aren't just looking to get laid.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

None of these answers are broad enough. Aren't we sufficient without a woman? Aren't we?

I'm just trying to figure out why we go through so much trouble.
Because we like to. It's as simple as that. Think of it like this: If there's a certain TV show you love to watch, you'll make time for it. If you can't make time for it, you'll tape it. Why do you do these things all for a TV show? Because you LIKE watching it.

Just don't think too hard about this stuff, man.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
