I live near Chicago, which supposedly has tons of single girls but this graph doesn't mean anything. All it counts are unmarried women - it counts the female who is seeing 3 different guys from her social circle and has zero interest in you hitting on her as being single, which she is not.

There's also more women than men in college, and more women than men in raw numbers in some places.
