"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

My proms coming up in the beginning of May, whens a good time to start asking girls?

I mean you want to get to them before other guys do, but a lot of things can change in 3 months...

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

It might seem that being single and not having a steady girlfriend is a problem when it comes to this whole prom situation, but now that I have a steady girl it makes it more difficult. As far as I can gather a girl has to have 1-2 months in advance notice. Usually ASAP!!! 2-3 months are ideal. Some BS about shopping for dresses etc. etc. etc. My prom is the end of April and I haven't said anything to my girl about it yet. That just seems so far off and I've never stayed in a relationship so long before. I'm gonna have to bring it up soon, but its just gonna suck if the relationship ends. Things would be weird and a pain in my ass to deal with

So turns out the girl I was planning on asking got asked a few days ago by this guy she doesn't really like.

She said yes anyways, but I'm almost positive she'd go with me if she wasn't already asked by him. She was telling me how much a creep he was and stuff. Should I ask her anyways?
