what's the best way to apologize without handing over your power?

you ignore her for a bit so she starts getting crazy ideas through her head ( basically thinking why haven't you contacted her ) and then few day's later you start talking to her again but don't bring up what ever happend, if it really offended her she will bring it up and I guess you could apologise. If she asks why you haven't contacted her tell her you been busy.

Most important question: Are you actually guilty? Followed by: Are you genuinely apologizing? 3) Are you willing to work at fixing the problem, if there is one?

Then you worry about the other stuff. See, it depends on a lot of factors including integrity, confidence, whther or not you're being genuine, etc...

If guilty, you apologize AND MEAN IT; then you promise to work on it. Then you do. You might make some small favor up to her (you flaked on a date, you owe her a date).

If you aren't guilty, then no need to apologize. Depending on the relationship, you can decide to apologize and not mean it, then you consider some small favor; but this method is only supposed to be temporary. I wouldn't recommend this more than once a month.

And ultimately, you show fairness in 90% of your decisions.

i don't understand what you guys are saying but as for me when a girl gets mad at me i get maded even dow am wrong.i don't need to apologize cause she's mad at me,i calm her down by getting maded no matter what the situation is.apologize when she is mad at me is like ma begging her,don't live i still love you.

Indifference is key, my friend. But like someone stated above, if you're actually in the wrong, then by all means apologize, and mean it. If she's just throwing a temper tantrum, then don't buy into her crap. That's only encouraging this kind of behavior.
