I read the OP, yes I would agree self improvement is integral to a rich (and better) dating life. Money is important yes and serves as a great bait but it is secondary. I believe a few people have mentioned this here and while that might come across as controversial I would agree with it. Unless you are dealing with a blatant gold digger, it only really weighs heavily once we are talking about serious relationships. This makes sense - if you are planning a future and possibly kids then money will weigh more heavily.

It's hard for women to gauge how much you make financially when she first notices you unless she see's you hop out of a Ferrari or something (and even then it could be rented for a night?) You can wear nice clothes and stuff but that doesn't mean you have money and could just be fronting. Women do display interest at first look so what does this tell us? Raw, primal attraction is driven primarily through looks. Being physically attractive is the ultimate bait to women and this is what you want - you want them to be attracted to you physically/your personality. You don't want to lead with your wallet (even if you have a nice career) - I would advise not to / try not to mention it for as long as you can to avoid tricks.
