Some of you I know what you do, but I’m curious what fields you guys are in.

So what do you do, tell us a little about your job, how old you are, how many years on the job and are you content with your job.
This also could be a good networking thread to meet people in a similar field and discuss some things.

Warning!

Do not subscribe to The SoSuave Newsletter unless you are already a chick magnet!

The information in each issue is too powerful for most guys to handle. If you are an ordinary guy, it is not for you. It is meant for the elite few – not the unwashed masses.

image

If you think you can handle it...

If you already have girls calling you at all hours of the day and night, showing up at your door, throwing themselves at you everywhere you go...

Then sign up below.

But if you're just an average Joe, an ordinary guy, no one special – and wish to continue being so – then skip this. It's too much power for you.

High school teacher. Started at 21, I´m 33 now. There´s stuff I like and dislike about the job but the benefits are good.

I run a distribution company I took over back in 2008, when it started to struggle.

Welder; Ironworker; Mechanic.
Job is fulfilling, I don't take it home with me.
Age: 46
Less than one year as mechanic; 12 years ironworker; 25 years welder
I am fulfilled but not as content as I could be.
I will restart university -engineering - in the next few years after becoming debtfree and accomplishing health goals first.

Assistant Director of Nursing at a nursing home/rehab center although I've worked all over the nursing field
As of the past year I've also done some nurse consulting work in the area of elder law and life care planning. A good option for burn out. Which brings me to...My job has been one of the most confounding, awesome, heartbreaking, challenging, and important things in my life. Wouldn't trade the experiences for anything though. Got some great life experience along the way and feel like I can handle life's challenges what ever is thrown at me. Oh yeah, helped a few people along the way too.

Winemaker. Napa Valley. 38years old. 6 years in this career. Very fulfilling but, it’s Napa so competition is intense. It’s my second career. Did tech sales/sales management for 12 years before in San Francisco.

I’m a policy maker. Policy makers are hired to hear the music, so to speak. When I hear the music, I tell my team to write me a report- A report that I never read because it’s usually written by engineering people with masters in statistics or something. And the report is usually like 250 pages. But then what i would do I is send a memo to someone higher up and give him the report and tell him/her that’s where the music is headed. And then that person sends it to someone even higher. 6 months later a new policy is shows up. And suddenly millions of people are without health care. Or somebody gets bombed in Iraq.

To demonstrate what I mean, I’ll give you an example. President Trump got rid of the health care mandate with the tax cuts and jobs act implemented in 2017. He also lowered the corporate tax to 21%. In ten years, his policies will cause the economy to be $1.5 trillion in debt. And where he plans to make up for that is by slashing social security, Medicaid, and Medicare. America actually came very close to having universal health care with Medicaid expansion. Many new programs were created as a result. More jobs were created, people were happier, and the overall morale was pretty high during the Obamacare years in Medicaid expansion states.

But all of that is about to disappear. That’s where the music is headed. It’s never been a better time to start a business or become famous overnight.

But the gap between the haves and have nots is only going to become greater.

Young healthy people will opt out of expensive health care premiums because they no longer have to follow a mandate. Insurance companies will be stuck with old and sick people, which would only cause them to raise insurance premiums through the roof. And pharmaceutical companies continue to milk every penny from people, even if the medication is comepletely useless.

There will be another war to fund the new policies. Democrats will push back because the republicans basically decided to install a bunch of policies without working with them. It will end up in a stalemate and by 2025, America will have another reason to contrive a war.

Rather not say, but it's more than 3x the average wage. I have to interact with people, sometimes different and always new people weekly. Pretty much downturn-proof, started in the great recession of '08. It takes up a sh!tload of my time though. As I gain financial independence in the coming years, I will try to work less at every turn. As it stands though, I'll work even though I'm almost on my deathbed sick because I need to keep up with the investment goals I have. I'm leery of Investing in anything right now, so I'm not earning much in the way of interest. When it all falls (it should soon given historical data ~ we're due), I'll be snooping to dig in to something that will return to the mean or exceed it. This 28,000 DOW is stupid, considering it was 7,000 a mere 12 years ago. Something is terribly WRONG!

I’m a project manager at a communication company. My department specializes in 5G small cell installations for all major vendors. Pays good, I get to stay in the field, and I get to lead my team throughout the southeast. I average a 56% profit margin each quarter which I get a bonus on.
