What can you tell me about paid vs free dating sites?

Given my location, online dating is a must if I want to have any sort of normal dating life. But the free sites like OkCupid and POF have a lot of women who aren't serious about meeting up. They are either finnicky, flaky, and just dont respond.

So now Im wondering if paid sites are a good alternative. Ive tried to avoid having to pay a service to meet women...as I used to think it was really lame. But I figure that the women will be more serious about dating if they are paying to meet someone.

I also wonder if most of the women are looking to settle down since they are paying for the service. Ive heard Match and Eharmony do pull in people looking for that. And tbh, Im not at that point in my life yet.

Usually if they pay it means they have a commitment to ''find someone''.... why waste money right ?

Use the paid and free online.... more options..... more dates = more chance for getting laid and meeting people who will extend your network

Tinder might be a good option to add, including POF, OKcupid and the rest

Both are a huge waste of time. That includes Tinder as well. Go traditional route, if you are seriously looking for relationship material.

Hit the gym, get in shape, dress well, smell well, and meet girls in real life. For example, coffee shops, book stores, public libraries, shopping malls, concerts, or it could be anywhere.

It depends on what you are looking for. I've tried both (because I was annoyed with flakes).

Paid you will get easier dates and less flakes. But the pool is far smaller and usually lower (typically 5-6s with the odd 7 rather than 5-8s)

At least in my area, the pool is not that much smaller than OKC, based on the search Im doing (mid to late 20s women with no kids). However the pool does seem to be more noticeably smaller than POF.

And yeah, I feel like there arent as many women who have the body type Im looking for on Match (slim or athletic and toned) Though I will say there appears to be a nice portion of educated women with decent jobs. It gets tiring wading through the low quality women on POF who have little going for them.

Which paid site did you use specifically?

Why not try 'once' or bumble for something different?

I have used OKC...huge waste of time. I found Eharmony to be the best site for the money. Match is filled with scammers and fake profiles at this point.
