I got a little blue a couple of days ago thinking about VDay. Even though I regard it as a "hallmark holiday" the fact that so many people get energized about it does alter the atmosphere a bit.
I got blue thinking about the ex, wishing my situation was more tidy, satisfying.
Now I'm glad I went through the blueness. A good friend talked me through a lot of it and I felt more centered the next day.
In a way I got a taste of the downside of the matrix. I shudder to think all the people who dread VDay because for them it's another opportunity to rub salt in whatever relationship wounds they have. I and many of you are fortunate to have the resources we have, not least this one.
Obviously the value we get is not about VDay, which ultimately is a sentimental pimple on the butt of reality, but in other infinitely more substantial ways.
So I take this opportunity, hinging on what ultimately is an empty calorie event, to appreciate all of you and what you contribute to me in so many real ways.
Point is, we are all unique here, all of us in varying situations and hopefully evolving on our paths, but what we have is each other, for better or worse.
Who knows how long it will last but I for one cannot entirely put into words the my appreciation for the value I've gotten.
Thanks and HAPPY VALENTINE'S, guys!! :flowers:
