"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hi guys,

Interested to hear your thoughts on this, whether you're for or against it for whatever reasons. I was lying on the beach this weekend and my girl whipped her top off as usual, however asked me if it was appropriate as it was a family style beach. I said whatever makes you happy..

She then went then she went for a swim, and put her top on. Our culture is bizarre than laying on the beach is ok to go topless, but going for a swim (where you think it would be more private) you need to wear a bikini top.. Made me laugh at the oddness of it all.

She always get's quite worked up after a day of topless sunbathing - there's definitely an erotic / exhibitionist element to it whether they admit it or not I feel.

I dated a girl a few years back that went topless on the beach the first time i met her parents. She was rubbing oil over her breasts while her dad sat next to her - a bit uncomfortable and a few conflicting feelings! She was a bit out there though I have to say..

Anyway, interested to hear others musings or thoughts on the issue.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

They're just breasts. We're far too up tight about the human body. So what if some children see breasts? We all see breasts from quite a young age.

I personally don't want other males seeing my girl's tits. But to each his own I guess.

growing up in europe, topless sunbathing and thongs were the norm... at the local open-air pool, let alone beaches. I was quite shocked when i moved across the pond and realized that in the US you can get a citation for either one.

Anyone who is against it is way too uptight (or gay).

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Showing most of the breast is apparently ok. But if the bare nipples show, then you can get into trouble.

Men can go topless and show our (dummy) nipples. But if women's nipples are shown in the US, it's illegal. I don't get it. I don't see what the big deal is.

Just because you're too stupid to come up with other possible explanations doesn't mean those are the only two.

Back in my college days one summer, I went on a big tour of Europe (one where everyone gets around on a bus.) Our group hit a few beach places, most notable Club Med in Greece. On the beach all the women were topless  except for the (American) women in our group, who all left their top on.

Yeah, it is a little ridiculous. But to be honest, I don't personally know of any woman who has received a citation for baring her breasts. And there has been a lot of breast baring. I'm sure we all know a few girls who will flash their boobs when they get a little drunk. I think most cops will tend to look the other way (or more accurately, look that way).

On the other hand, I do know several guys who were arrested for indecent exposure because they had to stop and pee by a tree or something. Really, I think that is just as silly.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
