if a famous comedian started this post, would you nay-sayers have questioned this idea so much?
some of the funniest stand up commedians just tell stories that really happened to them.
Example: Richard Pryor, very funny man, managed to light his own @ss on fire while doing some drug, starts runnin down the street...still on fire.
Most people would try to forget about such an embarasing experience. Richard stands on a stage tellin everybody about it, and i quote "When you're on fire, everone gets out of your way, except one old drunk askin 'Can i get a light?'"
When you get out there and stop worryin about what other people think of you--that's when you will get confidence and personal experiences to become your own person, not to mention having a ton of great stories to tell
