I see an interesting girl. She is in short shorts and high heels and standing out as she does her grocery shopping. I pass in an aisle then meet up with her in yogurt. She smiles at me as I roll up. I ask: "Any suggestions?" Then we start talking about healthy foods, etc. She volunteers 3 or 4 minutes in that her bf is with her and in the store. I wrap up a few minutes later and walk off without closing. I do see her later in the store and she is still solo. I call BS! lol Next! Silver lining: she was older than I thought when I saw that face. Nice body, and wearing skimpy clothes helps, but nothing screams "mid-30s" like crows-feet. I hope you really do have a bf b/c you're pushing it, age-wise. haha

This is Saturday at Home Goods. I had earlier in the day spent a few hours between B&N, Borders, Super Target, and TJ Maxx looking for targets to no avail.
At Home Goods I see a very cute girl looking intently at throw rugs. I meander through the close-by artwork area, and we lock eyes once for a moment. I am trying to think of how to open a girl looking at throw rugs, and of course draw a blank in the heat of the moment. Plus a herd of non-English speaking people flow into her aisle and it just looks nearly impossible.
She goes to leave (or move to a very different part of the store) but pauses for a moment in an aisle on the way. I loop around and enter her aisle.
Lucky for me she had a nice prop.
Me: What's that thing?

Note: this girl has swagger. She was dressed very stylishly (as was I, btw, thanks to a new wardrobe). There was an almost sexual vibe from the get go, and I know she knew I was checking her out from when we locked eyes before the approach (second note: i almost always approach w/o eye contract so do not use the lack thereof as an excuse not to approach) and she knew the housewarming opener was BS. But she was happy to be gamed. She took, I think, the boot comment as a NEG when I did not intend it as such. I think that amped her attraction.

Try different things and see what works for you. I usually ask a girl her name at some point if the convo keeps up longer than 2 minutes, and then I will introduce myself at that point.
It's been off and on for 5 years... I've had exclusive LTRs for the bulk of the time and thus no approaches.
I generally only do daytime and go out (currently) 2-3 times a week for a couple of hours each time. I try to tie it in with doing errands that need to be done anyhow.
At 33, I'm not into the smoke, alcohol, and late hours associated with night game. At any age, I was never really into the poseurs, attention *****s, ***** shields, and competition associated with night game.
BUT, I must say that at night you can go to one hot spot and find 5 to 10 HB8s or higher all in one place at one time. It may take you 3 weeks to find that many in daygame. I am torn!

I pass a couple of opportunities (rusty!) to talk to her, then finally open her in greeting cards. She doesn't seem too talkative, then I prod and ask whose bday she is getting a card for and it is her bf. He is turning 24. Happy Bday, bro! lol

This is yesterday at Marshall's.
I see a women with a pretty face and awesome body in her workout attire in the store. I pass her by and she notices me... she is looking at the lotions and bath soaps, etc.
I puss out but she goes to home decor. I engage her in the aisle for help with a housewarming gift. BAM!~ She opens right up, ultra-friendly. She has BEAUTIFUL boobs (I think they are fake) and they are like two wonderful treasures from heaven all pushed up in her workout attire.
It turns out she is turning 40 later this year. :woo:
Obviously not someone I want to date (even though she looks 30 in my opinion) but hell yeah I want to bang her. She gave up the number easily. We shall see...

This is today at B&N.
See a very pretty girl in the fiction aisle on the lone, uncomfortable wooden chair there.
I get in her aisle and browse for a minute or two (WAY too long!) before opening her. She is taking notes on her book. I ask if it is for work or school, and she says both. Hmmm... not much to go on. I then re-open about a fiction recommendation for my fictional friend who reads lots of fiction. I then get her talking. She works for an architect and as part of her duties she need to revamp the firm's website. We talk way longer than I thought (30 min+) and she mentioned a few times she recently got out of a 5-year LTR. She is pretty and cute as a button and seemed kinda shy and I would guess is about 25 or 26.
When I found out what time it was I had to jet because the Sam's Club pharmacy closes at 6 today and they are closed BOTH Sunday and Monday for Labor Day-- can you believe that sh1t? Good thing they called me today to remind me my prescription was ready (I called in the refill a few days ago and intended to pick it up tomorrow). I would have run out of pills for 2 days if I didn't make it there today.
My point is I would have liked to have talked to her more but had to close and then cut and run. She gave up her number is a mildly hushed tone, then volunteered, "I don't normally give my number out like this." I replied: "I don't normally run into someone randomly like this where I want to see you again."
YEAH RIGHT! That freakin' B&N is the epicenter of my social life. lol. And not a damn thing about the encounter was random, except for the fact she was in that store when I walked in.
Anyhow, I like this one a lot but we shall see...
EDIT 2 days later: We txt back and forth, all is well, until I try to get her to commit to a night this week for a date. Then she flakes. GRRRR!
