"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

It's 4:25 on the westside. My minds drifting and shifting around like the sand though an hour glass. I feel as if I'm in a perpetual battle against time and each grain of sand that shimmys through is another moment thats lost forever. Time is chasing me through dark alleys. I wake in cold sweat and look at the red LED on my casio alarm clock and it hits me like a TON OF BRICKS. This is my life and I'm slowly dying one second at a time.

I sit up slowly and say to myself "self, you don't have any more options" I'm out of excuses. The liquor is invading my kidneys. PUKE. Now everything that was considered mundane turns into a Mark Twain like adventure. I decide to enter the game with a ZEN like RAZOR focus and never look back. It's a journey that few men take. It's a journey that few men make. But these are heros. These are space explorers. They write movies about these men.

Frank from middle management loves his job. Hell, Frank is the best guy in the world. Everyday for the last 6 and a half years he's done exactly the same thing and made a little bit of money doing it. He's accumlated a few nice things but nothing spectacular. His family loves him. But something is eating Frank alive. He knows that someday he will be dead and his legacy will be that of another cog in the machine. Frank could of scaled Evererst. Fought Terrorist. Frank could have Traveled the world chasing hot beautiful women of different cultures and soaking in the culture. Franks already dead he just doesn't know it yet.

BOOM. My mind is still foggy. I look in at the hourglass and see my relfection. I've taken risks. Not enough. I see people that want to see me fail. The room closes in on me. It's filled with everyone who has ever wished ill will upon me. Jealously. Envy. Hate. I see friends. I see family. I see Oprah? WTF? What the hell is Oprah doing there and where is Stedman? Oh, they broke up and she's banging Jamie Foxxx? Thanks GoD. I know J Foxxx was a DJ.

I've come to the reality that maybe no one really....I MEAN really wants me to live out my dreams. No one but myself. I'm the only one who lays in bed at night scheming on ways to come up in the world. Its a cold reality but the sooner you learn it the better of you will be.

Trials and tribulation make the man. GET REJECTED. Embrace it. It actually is HER loss. She'll end up with a FRANK. You? Well you may have a little bit of work to do on yourself but you'll never be FRANK. You couldn't live with that, could you? You get a drink tossed on you? Laugh it off. Then slap that hoe like she was Tina Turner circa 74. The choice is up to you my friends. The game is going on around us. Make that choice. Look at that clock. Your the type of guy they make movies about.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Lost - i wrote it last night. I think it was a combination of lack of sleep and the liquor talking

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
