"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

This story begans at a nice little college club, which a girl from my dorm said she was going to meet me at there. She did we began to talk, I then tried to get her in my car but it didn't work at all. So I decided to settle on a couple of dances but when I tried dancing with her we dance for a half the song then she walked away, while smiling at me. It makes me question myself because this was suppose to be some guarantee sex because honestly I felt I was better then her. I lowered my standards for this chick and this girl rejects me, it is just playing with my soul right now. Seriously I can't get this out of my head, she isn't a ugly duckling, infact quite cute but I feel cuter.

Now I'm not posting to be crying or anything, personally I just would like to know, has anything like this happens to you all, or was this just another rejection that didn't bother you much.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

You were played.

You're identity wasn't strong enough, you didn't portray high value. She might have been interested at the start, but you are just another notch in her belt.

What kind of advice is that? You contradict what you say in the same sentence. "It's not your problem, she's an idiot", "Figure out how you fvcked up, cuz you probably did".

If you don't know what you are talking about, don't speak. This site has become ridiculous.

playing with your soul? where did you hear that garbage? I would lose that.

You got rejected that's it. It don't matter how much you think you are better then this girl, you still got rejected. Move on and don't try to make a big deal out of it.

You "feel cute?" and This incident is "playing with your soul?"

I think she was just finished experimenting with her sexuality. Turns out she is NOT a lezzy. Seriously though I think you need to stop watching the gilmore girls.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
