Several young men were put into a sex-offender registry because an unstable chick killed herself a year later due to a fight with her THEN boyfriend. He dumped her and called her a slut. Instead the case was re-opened against the football team who were now adults by pressure from feminist groups on the PM Stephen Harper[conservative] after evidence by the RCMP was found to be inconclusive.

Don't think this one won't happen too. That Rateh Parsons case is the reason for all the changes in the definition of 'rape' that have occurred since 2013. I think it goes back to family values. Since a good amount of children over the past 20 years have experienced single moms and divorced families, there is no father figure in the picture. The sign of things to come? You can observe how a practice or change in on laws affects the culture by observing other cultures which have made this change.

This is similar to the recent bill in the Texas legislature where a female representative wants to strike down the “castle doctrine”.

That bill flies in the very face of Texas culture which is codified in Texas law. It’s terrifically UN-Texan. So real Texans are going to recoil at such a suggestion because they see it as the start of the unraveling.

This uproar in UK is similar.

Reality check. Bad guys don’t follow laws anyway. They break ‘em willfully. So laws like this empower the bad guys because they take away the defenses of the law abiding vast majority. The elderly lady in Abilene who lives alone with a Remington 12 gauge in the corner of her closet...just in case...The father of three who escorts his wife home from dinner in Chelsea after an evening stroll who will physically protect the mother of his children...

Laws strip power from the law abiding and reward criminal behavior. As idiotic as it is these ideologue officials cannot grasp this reality.
