"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I've never been a big fan of dating advice given by women. I think they often give much worse advice than men. Tonight I met with several women and asked them to devise a game plan for men who want to PU in grocery stores. This is what they came up with. I have no hand in this and have not even tested it......... this is all according to women. I am just passing along info a couple of board members asked for out of the horses mouth :)

Protocol for Grocery Stores:

Say HI
IF no answer
Walk Away
Else
Ask her What She's doing / What she's looking for.
CONTINUE conversation until you get #
WAIT 2 days before calling
TERMINATE conversation in less than an hour to an hour tops.

Personally, I'd try to extract her right then or at least kiss her, but then I am not a woman (thankfully).

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I'm not stupid, many will tell you YOUR approach sucks. Or tell you ways to improve YOUR approach.

THEIR approach sucks. I've never tried a grocery store approach. Doesn't seem to appealing to a 22 year old male.

"Hi"
"oh. hello" -confused - fine to this point.
"What are you doing?" || "What are you looking for?"
"shopping." DUH! || "Nothing, Filling my pantry." DUH!

an HOUR conversation. OH you can cut it short, maybe 40 minutes. WHO THE F*CK (man or woman) WANTS TO HANG OUT IN A GROCERY STORE TALKING TO A STRANGER FOR AN HOUR?

Thank you EWH for field testing the advice women will give. Saves me time asking them and rejecting their ideas.
