"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I wanted to share a little anecdote about the power of social proof. I'm sure many of you have similar stories, but I was amazed at how well this worked and I wasn't even trying.

I have a friend at work who I jokingly refer to as my "work-wife." She's cute, blonde, young, and a lot of fun. We've got a little casual FB thing going.

I have another girl who I used to date and now we just chat online. Things cooled off and her interest in me waned, but we kept in touch. About one email between us every few months just to catch up.

This week she emailed to catch up, and I told her I was going to a beach with some friends that my "work-wife" recommended. BAM! I was hit with a flurry of emails from this cooled-off girl - "who is she, what does she look like, tell me more!"

I sent her a pic of the work-wife, this cute blonde 10 years my junior, and the cooled-off girl went nuts. The next email I got was: "She's very pretty...when are WE getting together?!?!" and lots of chat about how she's been going to the salon and working out, yadda yadda.

Just thought I'd share. It's great to see concepts in action.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Good story. In a way it gives me contempt for women. I mean you could've been a great guy but she'd have ignored you unless you had some blonde girl with you. I know that's just the way it is, and according to Mystery, it comes from genetic pre-programming, but sometimes I think our genes are completely wacked out and make us behave stupidly.

I haven't actually seen it work first hand yet, as no one seems obviosly jealous that I'm hanging out with the few women I hang out with. Out of any of them, only three of them are what I'd consider physically attractive. They're cool people to hang with, and that's why I spend time with them.

Then a lot of the attractive women I've tried to get to know have the brain power of tapioca (and THAT'S insulting tapioca!)

I need more attractive SMART and GENUINELY FRIENDLY females in my life. Lol.

I remember there was a service called wingwomen. Don't know if still exists. But basically, you'd pay these attractive sociable girls to come hang out with you at a bar or club as social proof. They would act like they are your friend, then they'd start up conversations with other attractive women in the bar and then introduce you to them.

Wait a minute... is this social proof or just plain old jealousy?

I though social proof is when you are say at a bar or something and the girl see's you making your rounds, chatting everybody up, seeing that you know a lot of people.

Ever heard the saying "When it rains, it pours"? Well, that's the way it usually works with women.
