The Definition of "Closure"

At the end of any relationship, many people say they need "closure". So what they do is contact the person they've broken up with and chat with them. After the meeting or conversation, their emotions are running wild and they feel worse than before they started looking for this mysterious thing called "closure".

Women are horrible for wanting "closure". To them, closure is continuing to converse with their ex until their emotions calm down. How the hell do you get the word "closure" out of this?

I looked up web definitions of the word "closure". This was, by far, the best way to put it:

Another way to look at it, the word "closure" comes from the word "close". IMO, the word "closure" refers to closing a particular chapter on one's life, and moving on to start a new chapter. It makes more sense than looking for emotional satisfaction at the end of a relationship, which rarely (if it ever) happens.

Unfortunatly, I've never been in that situation so I can't relate to that. Maybe it'll help out others.

I broke up with my ex a little over a year ago, and she still to this day keeps calling me wanting "closure" on our relationship... meanwhile I've been engaged for the past six months to a really good woman.

My ex actually threatened to kill me and my new fiancee awhile back if I didn't take her back...

Amen! Its not just shagging other women thow. I tapped plenty of ass after my oneitis and still felt strong. You need to find another girl you care for.....Then your like oneitiswho?

Closure to me is knowing that both parties are ok with the action taken.....This is NEVER EVER EVER going to happen......1 person will always want back.
