This is advice that I wish I had known several years ago regarding being friends with girls. I have seen several topics on this subject where people will say be friends with a girl and maybe she has hot friends, etc, etc. That isn't being friends with her, thats using her. What I'm talking about is actually being friends where you care about this girl. What I had heard and in the back of my mind was that guys and girls CAN'T BE FRIENDS IN THE LONG-TERM. My advice to you is don't even play that friendship game, with the hopes she will fall for you. You may get lucky and she will, but she more than likely won't and will end up in the long term not talking to you at all. From what I've experienced, girls like to have guys as friends to fall back to, to stroke their little egoes when things fall through with their boyfriends. Then they will act like they care, then they will be your friend. However, in case you don't know, the minute someone cones along that they like they kick ya to the curb.
Don't bother playing that song and dance game with girls. They may say they "love you like a brother" but what they mean is "they think of you as someone they don't want to have sex with." They don't "love you", you are there to give her attention when no other guy will. Get off playing that game and develop better friendships with guys. You don't get anything from a friendship with a girl that you can't get with a guy and its a hell of a lot less complicated.
Rant over, just trying to help other guys out, I learned the hard way.
