"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

"English accents might be popular with American women but American accents are just as popular with English girls. People like anything rare I suppose" - The Truth

Oh yes my friend. As long as it isn't the native accent then the rarity thing is quite the card. For a laugh I hit on this girl using my fake Russian accent (which is quite good btw) and she loved it. Being british myself I may have to make port at America someday ;)

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

As an Englishman myself, I will give you my reflections.

Most englishmen realise that their accents give them the edge over any homegrown American in the States. Plain fact by the way. I even look forward to exploiting this fact when I hit american soil.

We are also rather sensitive to the fact you chaps lent us a hand (twice) around 40 years back. Just prey he doesn't have a BA in history is you decide to use this rather low blow. Something along the lines of 'Hey you wouldn't have that cute little accent if we'd kicked Hitler's ass for you' should do the job.

Otherwise we are more rational then you lot. (Generally, no offence meant). If that chap had two cent of wit about him he'd back off if you took him to the corner and firmly (But KINDLY) explained that you do not approve of his attitude and actions. In fact have your GF tell him that she does want him harassing her, that should make his 'cojones' shrink a little, and generally make his presence 'light'.
A stern warning should have him wetting himself. If he refuses to listen then use the low shot. Following this if he persists, physically remove him from your presence. If he continues just have your bird yell at him.
hahaha...you're def not an englishman

no it has nothing to do with rarity...

try speaking with british-asian (indian) accent...most chics would find it a big turn-off

the thing about british accent is that its not all british accent that attracts women, its what some would call oxford english that makes one sound very intellectual and sensitive.

im sure americans would find liverpoodlian or north-east accent quite strange.
just like spanish accent sounds quite sexy whereas mexican accent just sounds ghetto.

as for american accent...it just doesnt sound very sexy...

I don't believe that the rarity of an accent is particularly sexy to a lady.

The Oxford accent, akin to the 'Queen's english' is a real turn-on for American chicks. It is a unique accent in that sense. (The thing is you end up getting a lot of stick for it in the end from your fellow compatriots)

Take the Australian accent. Take one of these bush boys to the States and American chicks (and the guys for some part) will be fascinated by his accent, but not really turned on.

It is just a matter of interest as a normal american probably hasn't travelled to Australia. At this point in the conversation it must be admitted that those with the 'Public school' accent among us (AKA Hooraah Henrys) are despised by the french, and a few other european nationalities. I believe out accent phoneomena holds true only to American chicks.

Canadians don't dig our accents I believe?

I've never heard of this "Australian" accent you speak of. Most Australians talk like a cross between Brits and Americans. Stop watching croc hunter.

Personally I find the American accent kind of cute on a girl. Same with the Canadian accent.

Well, the only I advice I can offer is to make good sport of it. When he sees it's not getting under your skin, and you're joking around with it, he might back off. You would've kept your cool and ruined his plans. Who knows? Perhaps, he didn't really like her that much, and was really only interested in annoying you. Try it, see what happens.
