She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.
You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.
The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
sometimes even djuans lose their confidence, they get hit and they need to get reanimated, they need some wise words, some words that keep 'em on track. everyone is vulnerable, everyone loses their mind once in a while and commit mistakes. if u wanna ban afcs do so and keep us in ignorance or made us a favour oh master djs and enlighten us with your wisdom.

AMEN
BAN THE AFC
WHO IS WITH ME!!!!????
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
This is the problem right here. Until there's a solution to this, nothing's going to change. Until there's a way to move an AFC to run these two down, rip them apart, and bathe in their blood, he's going to stay an AFC.Originally posted by The_Shezzler

Good points Shezz.
The way the forum should operate is like this:
- A few master DJs posting with a wealth of knowledge
- Many others who are DJs and capable
- Some reforming AFCs who know some stuff, but still need a kick up the arse
- A few AFCs who just found the site
They should progress up the ladder so to speak. I don't mind a few AFC questions, as us DJs should help the lesser beings, to help them become DJs, and then in turn they can help etc. If AFCs are the minority, then they will in turn become DJs.
But I agree that there are too many AFCs to operate like I've said above. It's sad.
I've just thought of a proposal that I'll put in a new thread...
explain what it meansIt is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.
