"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I think I've seen some threads on this subject but I don't think this topic can be talked about enough.

In the past couple years I have stuck with a hard rule of not texting the girl after the first date. I went through all the effort talk to her, get her #, plan logistics, setup the date, (likely) pay for it, and now I have to send a follow up text? No fvcking way. How can you even gauge their IL if you're the first one to text back?

What I am not sure of is how to proceed if she texts you first, especially if it's rather quickly. You can either wait a few more days to setup a 2nd date, or just do it right away. I think there are good arguments to be made on both sides and ultimately it may not actually matter much if their IL is already high...

Case in point, I had a date tonight and maybe 30 min after I get home, she sent "thanks for treating me tonight, I enjoyed your company". I responded with "I had a good time as well" but haven't sent anything else. The girl was very attractive and young so I feel as if trying to "strike while the iron is hot" is coming from a place of scarcity. However, I also strongly believe in the adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" - I have run into issues when I was younger where I tried to "game" a girl who already had high IL and it backfired.

In general, what are your thoughts on this? Do you have a strict rule? Even though purposely delaying may be a bit tryhard and obvious, I cannot deny that having even the illusion of abundance is a powerful tool, regardless of what you may think of it.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Sounds to me like you have it covered.

Definitely situational. I rarely have set up a 2nd date at the end of the 1st. Leave some mystery.

I would sometimes say, if we had met in my arena, "send me a text to let me know that you got home alright". Otherwise, if warranted, an "it was great to meet you, had fun" kind of text wasn't uncommon. Otherwise, I'd just let the date marinate for a bit. Hit her up in a few days if I wanted to see her again but hadn't heard from her.

Usually I will wait to see if they text me the next day, which is almost always an indicator they are interested if that happens...unless they send you a "we lacked chemistry type text"...

After that it depends on how the Convo goes but usually I wait a few days before asking her out again.

I forgot to mention but I have historically aLways pushed for 2nd dates right away so I don't have to waste any time wondering if she's interested.

1) If she doesn't agree to a 2nd date it means low IL so you simply find out sooner.
2) If she had medium/lukewarm, interest but your texting "eagerness" turned her off, it's will a win, because you shouldn't waste time with a woman who could be turned off by something so trivial..
3) If she has high IL, most likely none of this fvcking matters.

So in a sense by being quick, this filters out all the low/medium interest women and funnels in the high IL women, which are the only ones you should bother with anyway. I guess a real G could determine which women are high IL from the getgo and still delay setting up a 2nd date just to add icing to the cake...
