I think I've seen some threads on this subject but I don't think this topic can be talked about enough.
In the past couple years I have stuck with a hard rule of not texting the girl after the first date. I went through all the effort talk to her, get her #, plan logistics, setup the date, (likely) pay for it, and now I have to send a follow up text? No fvcking way. How can you even gauge their IL if you're the first one to text back?
What I am not sure of is how to proceed if she texts you first, especially if it's rather quickly. You can either wait a few more days to setup a 2nd date, or just do it right away. I think there are good arguments to be made on both sides and ultimately it may not actually matter much if their IL is already high...
Case in point, I had a date tonight and maybe 30 min after I get home, she sent "thanks for treating me tonight, I enjoyed your company". I responded with "I had a good time as well" but haven't sent anything else. The girl was very attractive and young so I feel as if trying to "strike while the iron is hot" is coming from a place of scarcity. However, I also strongly believe in the adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" - I have run into issues when I was younger where I tried to "game" a girl who already had high IL and it backfired.
In general, what are your thoughts on this? Do you have a strict rule? Even though purposely delaying may be a bit tryhard and obvious, I cannot deny that having even the illusion of abundance is a powerful tool, regardless of what you may think of it.
