She said she was busy... How bad was my text response and how do I proceed? Should I wait a couple days and text her like nothing happened.
What are some general ways to initiate a text in order to build rapport?

And is a qualifying text Opener ever a good idea?

Me:Hey silly, there's this wine tasting place I want to checkout this weekend. Let's crash it! Is Sat or Sun better for you?

Her: Would love to be ur accomplice, however I work doubles all weekend. I'm training unfortunately
Maybe my schedule will be different next weekend.

Me: No biggie (her name). Just hit me up next week and we'll take it from there...

Hey cali, I had a very similar situation come up yesterday.

I opted to not tell her to hit me up next week - because a girl, unless super interested, just isn't going to do that. Then, when I'd ultimately text her, she would remember that she was "supposed" to text me, didn't, and I came back anyway. Power gone.

Instead, when she said let's try something the next week, I just said that's a good idea, have a great week. Now it's not on any one person to initiate contact. We'll see if she does - then it's game over for her - but, if she doesn't, I just drop a line and try to make plans like we discussed.

For you: see if she texts, she won't, then text her and setup plans. One more "too busy" response w/o specific counteroffer = next.

You need to work on text game. Exclamations are not a good idea unless your being sarcastic, and calling a chick silly is kind of lame.

Shouldve went something like this.

Me: so theres this wine tasting event this weekend, ive chosen you to be my designated driver, how lucky for you.
Her: blaa blaa double shifts blaa
Me: <no response>

Or..

If i dont care and want to test the waters..

Me: are you sure? I pay in sexual favors.

Never expect a girl to initiate early on; even if she is interested.

Now your stuck in the wait & see approach since you put the ball in her court & I can almost guarantee you that she won't text you.

Qualifying text openers can work and work well; IF you've built sufficient attraction. You have to learn to read where you are with a girl, to know how to properly game her.
