well school is almost out, and ill be getting a job. I was thinking about getting a job in a construction company, but i thought about it, and asked myself how many kids my age do this kinda job?

aside from working at a store as a cashier or work in a fast food restaurant, what else do people my age get jobs in?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

If you can find a job that's not retail "GO FOR IT", unless you are a social misfit then getting a retail job is good therapy as you are forced to interact with people. Especially if it's a clothing store a la Gap or Banana Republic. I currently work retail and I hate it. It pays the bills though.

The lowest form of employment, even lower than retail, is telemarketing.

Sure, the pay is decent - well above minimum wage, actually.

However, you are the bottom rung of a company that does not know your name. your supervisors do not know your name. You just make calls and try to sell things until they see it fit to lay you off.

Even if you work hard and have a high sales record, it doesn't matter because they won't write reference letters. You are nothing there.

DO NOT WORK AT A CALL CENTRE!

Get a job at a country club / golf course.
Laid back + a bit of social therapy.

I'm also applying for a retail position at Blockbuster  b/c i didn't get enough hours for the summer.

That's gonna suck.

My biggest regret is settling for retail jobs during high school and college.
With a little bit of moxie, I could have gotten office or other jobs paying far better.
My suggestion: register with a temp agency, especially one that has in-house training on various PC skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) so you can learn on their dime and become more valuable.
As for polishing social skills, I have to admit, few things beat the retail environment, especially if it's a nice department store.
