I think this all ties to "sexual marektability" as Rollo once put it. When they are in their 20's women are the happiest because their sexual marketability is the highest (their looks). Men achieve that later in life in their 30's and 40's due to financial situation, while women start to lose out during that age due to their fading looks, and their inability to compete with younger women.
Its funny how those so called "experts" aren't even touching on this topic (due to the fear of offending women) and come up with other reasons to try and explain this.
