basically I eat 30ish carb days 5 days a week, drink tons of water and drink 50g protein shakes as a meal on those days(eat about 4 meals total), eats lots of chicken and beef, so I am getting my protein
the other 2 days I up the carbs big time(to 250 or so) and lift like crazy, drink protein shakes before and after lifting, still get that 150g of protein and still drink the water like crazy, the water drinking will keep you from bloating very much at all
I work a job where I am walking about 4 miles every night 5 days a week, so there is the cardio portion(anything above brisk walking kills muscle gains)
I am losing a pound or 2 a week and getting stronger/bigger more toned, it is hard as heck but it does work, i'm 6' 1" medium build and wanna stay at 175 to 180 pounds but lose 20 more pounds of fat, the muscle gains lag behind the fat losses, impossible to gain muscle as fast as we can lose fat
