Congrats, keep it up!
You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?
Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.
One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.
Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Some changes here and there should get things flying then. If you haven't done any overhead work I would definitely put some in. Something like:I-tallionStallion said:I like that that format you gave me...sounds interesting. I think i want to give it a shot. Thanks very much Quag.
I have been doing the same workout for basically a year now. With minor changes and just trying other exercises out a little. I guess no overhead stuff really

He means dumbell bicep curls.Quagmire911 said:I can't really make out what you are asking, either it is because it is late or I am a tool.
What do you think of trying:
Incline work
Seated D.b press or OHpress 2x8-10
Dips 2/3x6-8
Skull crushers 2/3x...(Keep the rep range you have if you are progressing in it, if not switch to another rep range or a new tri exercise).
I would definitely put bi curls in if they around that level. Mine are really low as well, at the point where it can only benefit me adding them in. Bi's play a role in bench too and for all you know that is what is holding it back. They are surprisingly low considering 400x5, just to point it out.
For the skullcrushers look at what I posted in Johnny's log about going up to 12 reps and then upping the weight. Not sure if you tried that already or not.
Btw, once you start slowing up on deads and squats, it would probably be time to look at Westside perhaps. As I mentioned above this is what I am aiming to do, although I am not 100% sure on the logistics yet.
Congrats on the dead btw.
I don't think he meant dumbbell bi curls although I may be wrong. He was referring to barbell curls I think.Mad Manic said:He means dumbell bicep curls.
MM
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Pretty bad I imagine, OH Press is one of the hardest lifts to build up.Quagmire911 said:Will be interesting to see what condition your overhead work is in if you haven't done any. Maybe you will be lucky.
