you alright? 2 days ago I came down with the flu hard. tested positive for influenza at the ER. alot of electrolyte fluids and organic ginger root lemon tea right now. last night I felt like i was going to die with body aches and head throbbing.
I probably shouldn't have quit smoking 5 days into NNN. I smoked my last cigarette on the 5th November
and haven't smoked since. Withdrawal has hit hard physically and mentally. Insomnia like a MF, I'm lucky if
I can remain asleep for more than two hours if I can get to sleep at all, part of that is my body is struggling
to regulate my temperature and I'm always too hot. My skin is itching, particularly my scalp, back and shoulders.
Some weight gain and bloating, partially because I've been eating more and partially water retention and finally
my arsehole is in tatters because of biblical constipation. I'm on two different laxatives and have been having
real problems clearing out my bowels every day although it is improving now a little after three weeks of blood
sweat and tears. I'm awaiting a hospital appointment so they can survey the damage and decide what level
of surgery my butthole needs as this has also brought on some haemorrhoids just to put a nice sore cherry
in the cake. It's been 23 days now and the cravings are subsiding now except immediately after food and if
I smell someone else smoking nearby. I suffered all of these symptoms when I quit in 2013 and needed surgery
then as well. I managed to quit for nearly 9 years that time and only started up again through stress of my
divorce, a bvllsh1t job and boredom. I am also almost two months off the weed now, I stopped that first.
I promised my 11 year old niece that I would quit for her before Christmas, I guess these are the side effects
I have to suffer to keep my promise. I did this to myself. I am already living on soft fruit, soup, green veg,
wholemeal bread and other digestively good stuff but it's not really alleviating anything. But I'll get through
it, I'm not using any nicotine replacement products or vaping. Cold turkey, same as I did back in 2013.
On the upside I have already saved enough money that I would have spent on smoking for a full day session
with my home visiting tattooist who will be here this Thursday. I should end the day with 4 more tats, two
mid size pieces and two much smaller ones, all in the comfort of my own kitchen.
