"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

I've let a girl get under my skin and it's pissing me off.

There's some interest on her part, but half the time when I get her alone her body language cools right off. The worst news is that I've got an emotion interest in her - which is screwing me right up. Worse still is that the "challenge" means I'm having trouble moving on from her and getting back to the old me.

I've also shunned three 18 year old university/college students in the last week or two because I've been focussed on this one girl. Such a moron.

Please tell me what a spaz I've been, and if you've had such an experience yourself then advice on how I can stop being so dumb would be appreciated.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

You have two options as I see it. Either:
1) Go all crazy and drive off a cliff spazzing out about it, or

2) Set the mood one night, get the perfect movie, cook for her, even make sure the lighting is right. Invite her over (make sure the place is clean). When she gets inside your place, stab her @ss to death. Better her than you, eh?

You have to man up dude.

If you're not getting what you want you just have to grab your balls and force yourself to get over it.

****, cry in a pillow in your bedroom if you have to. Don't let her know that, but do what you have to to move on.

Consider your arse kicked.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Thats spectacular. Can't stop laughing :D  (And my place is always spotless!)

wjh - that's the advice I've given myself, although I'm not really the crying type. I'll get over it better if I go down to the docks and pick fights with drunk fishermen. If I don't get what I want this weekend, there's stacks of young tail I can let chase me around campus....
