People who shun expensive things for the fact that they are expensive, are no better than people who bshow off by trying to flaunt money.
There is nothing wrong with paying 700 dollars for a meal every once in a while. The problem is, I am not taking a woman that I am not boning on a regular basis, to a restaurant like that. You don't take a woman to a place like that to impress her, you take her there to reward here.
Last year about the end of august, we were up in Saratoga for the Travers stakes. I had NEVER in my life been to NYC, so going there was a priority as well. I had sprung for reservations to Masa. where you have to make reservations like 2 months in advance, they fly the fish in straight from Japan and the head chef, cooks every meal there. our bill when it was all said and done was close to $1400 dollars, with a tip it was about a about 1600 dollars, and that included a 20% surcharge that was built in the price. But you know what, that was my GF's of 3 years at the time's birthday present. lol, that was the first time in my life I can say the food I had earlier, was better than the sex I got later lol. God that was some epic ****. She earned that. That's not something I would do everyday.. I'm a red lobster, chili's type guy when it's all said and done. My fav restaurant in LA is Paisano's and it's not just.. high high. it's not cheap but we can eat for about 100 dollars with drinks and all. Not bad for the quality of food, which IMHO is world class. . But, there is nothing wrong with splurging on a good meal every once in a while. At the end of the day you only live once.
But you have to be a ****ing idiot, to spend that type of omeny on a woman you aren't ****ing. you will have a better time taking 1200 dollars down to the local strip club. come to think of it for 1200 dollaors you would have a hell of a time.
