It's brilliant satire. I loved the scene of the professional matchmaking b*tch interviewing Borat. I mean, the whole bit about American women having no idea how to plow fields. It's biting social commentary because interchange 'plow' with 'cook' and the brilliance is obvious, even in the mannerisms. :crackup:

I learned about this movie yesterday; odd that you should bring it up. It looks awesome - apparently in one scene he asks a group of feminists if "women should be allowed to do the same things as men.

Apparently there's been a lot of backlash because of this movie. Like the drunken college students are sueing because they feel that because they were drunk when they signed the waivers it shouldn't count. They're getting a lot of crap for what they said apparently.

That movie had so many great parts and the fact that so much of it was unadultered reactions makes it so much better. I like to describe it as the jackass of drama.

This movie is histerical and everyone in the theatre was dying laughing by the end.

Go see it if you haven't.

Apparently they knew they were being filmed but they claim they were mislead into thinking it was a documentery(spelling?). anyways even the Romanian town where the movie started is going to be filing a lawsuit claiming he paid them 5 dollars each to put animals in their house and they thought he was making a documentary to help them but instead mocks them lol.

I heard there was a woman in Tennessee who's suing him as well. Seems she was a news anchor or something and didn't realize he was spoofing. After the movie came out she got fired for being tricked and is now considered "unemployable" in her field. She's asking for mental duress and...some other charge, I don't remember.
