I've noticed that smiling while talking on the phone actually conveys that you are smiling and good-spirited in your tone. It comes of very positive and has helped me a lot in keeping things light, especially on those first few call before ive gone out with her or haven't gone out too often and she calls to talk a bit.

Smiling effects your mood, which effects your voice tone which will come across over the phone. Its hard to genuinely smile and not come across as being in a good mood.

Funny...I just read this in "How to Win Friends and Influence People"...is that where you got it from?Charm said:
When I talk on the phone, I try to put myself in the state I was in when I last saw the girl, as if she was there with me in person.
The one thing I'm not good at on the phone is when the girl starts to put up sh!t tests or otherwise switch plans or flake at the last minute. I haven't figured out the best way to respond to that and usually end up either acquiescing just to break the silence or getting pissed off and hanging up.

No, I learned the importance of smiling on the phone from sales and business and seeing how much more effective it is. I have had very good mentors help me. Also, the best way to deal with a **** test or to give yourself more time at the least is to throw her question back at her.

Her: What, im not good enough to make it complete?
You: Ill pick you up around 730 and you can see about completing it then. OR you might say Your twice as good as I think you are.
The first respone will make plans and make her qualify herself. The second just throws her sh1t test back at her.
