"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Should I feel bad about this?

I have a situation where I met this girl a while back. I could tell from the start that she really likes me. She came out and told me that she feels different about me than any other guy she's ever known.

Well here recently I have been feeling kinda lonely and horny. So I call her up and ask her to come over. This happened tonight. We ended up having sex. But afterwards I realize that I really don't like this girl at all.

She thinks that maybe sometime I might feel different towards her and want to start a relationship. The girl has been through a lot in her life and I kinda feel bad about leading her on all the time.

Should I appologize to her for treating her this way? Or should I feel bad at all?

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You shouldn't feel bad because up to this point you sort of liked her but after sex you lost interest and realised that you can do better. Trust me if the shoes were on the other foot she wouldn't think twice about feeling bad but rather think about new and exciting possible hookups with other men.

You are not responsible for the bad stuff that happened in her life, she is. It will however get worse if you pretend that you still like her and put up with this charade. Just end it and you will feel relieved and guilt free.

ok i'll give a few days and end it cause i really don't see me going ANY farther with this girl. haha she has a boyfriend anyways so its not like she's gonna be lonely.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Holy **** that you for posting this. I am going through the exact same situation with another girl and I kinda felt like calling her up (for the same reasons). The sex would be nice but I don't even think I want to bother with her...
