Shoes with Brown Plaid Blazer

I just purchased this blazer and have jeans that look like the one the model is wearing. However, what shoes would look good with it? Is wearing black shoes terrible? I heard if you wear brown blazer, your shoes should always be brown?

Well heres the thing. The model you see on the first link i have is wearing a blazer and wearing dark blue jeans... sort of indigo color. Is it fine to wear brown shoes with indigo jeans because it looks like the model is wearing that. Is brown blazer with blue jeans and brown shoes good?

I personally like the 2nd one. Is it fine wearing the 2nd one with indigo jeans?

IMO, I don't have good experiences with dark blue jeans +brown shoes.

you could make it work, or get the jeans with a tan fade

or you can wear khaki pants. etc etc

nice blazer though.

I'd go with the second ones.

i just meant that the dark brown plaid blazer needs brown pants not blue jeans.
but if you wanted to know if i thought that blazer was hot, my opinion is no. but that is just me.

Right, my initial comment referred to not wearing a brown blazer with blue jeans also. Sorry if I was unclear.

My fashion advice is to go buy a cool black leather jacket and see if that doesn't immediately double your attractiveness with most women.

Yeah, you could get away with it, especially with that second pair of shoes. Dont wear a polo under the blazer though because it looks rec0ckulous.

I just meant it works. Jeans will give you that casual look. I would't wear brown dress pants with that blazer in fear of looking like a used car salesman. But, with jeans and a button down and the brown oxford shoes it would look pretty classy.

Well I am not really a fan of khakis because i like wearing jeans. By the way, the blazer is not really THAT brown. It is like a lighter brown if you get what i mean. Are there a lot of different color brown oxford shoes like some light and some darker brown?... because the 2nd link i showed on the shoe links look way browner than my blazer.

Would that be bad if the brown shoe looks a lot browner than my blazer which isn't as brown as the shoe?

Nah. The jacket is unstructured and is designed to be worn casually. Brown and dark blue are beautiful together. I hope it fits you better than it fits the model, though.

Those shoes are ugly. Don't spend $66 on what amounts to cobbled plastic (=Kenneth Cole).

well i ordered it the Kenneth Cole Shoes but i will return it back if i don't liek it. I am assuming you would suggest AE shoes right? But arent those Kenneth Cole shoes around 180 dollars retail? That isn't really cheap according to me.

I see those AE shoes that cost around 300 or so and thats definitely a lot. Would you say its terrible to have Kenneth Cole shoes? I know people hate it because it doesnt last long.

Ehh...I had a pair of Kenneth Cole's last a couple of years, take care of them and they should hold up.
