I see those AE shoes that cost around 300 or so and thats definitely a lot. Would you say its terrible to have Kenneth Cole shoes? I know people hate it because it doesnt last long.

I don't like them because they look plasticky, and for $180 you shouldn't be putting plastic on your feet. They don't look terrible and definitely mesh with the look you're going for, but I wouldn't buy them in the future.

I wouldn't buy AE shoes for going out... they're hard to wear casually. If you can figure out a way to do that, though, and if you pick them up off eBay for cheap, you can be a sartorial god. I think the Dryden is a good shoe to wear with slim one-wash/dry jeans, for example.
