"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

In my experience, the more independent minded I've become, the better my life had been. The more I've taken control for my own sake, the more I've re-shaped the world around me to fit my needs. The reason is straight forward. I know what my needs are more acutely than anyone else. I also know the details of my relationship with my needs and what specific aspect within myself that ought to be worked out or brought out as developed traits. So the conclusion is simple. The more independent you are, the more successful you can potentially be.

I've held the view that people would make that connection, that people would admire me for my independent mindedness. However in many cases nothing could be further than that. Being in a more self-improved mindset appears as anti-social to those who are in a less developed stage. That's okay, you don't need to change them. It's better to lead by example rather than by persuasion. If you try convincing someone of something, in many cases you'll likely lose their respect. Don't ever try to convince or persuade people who lack their own independence.

The lessons I've learned are to keep growing but don't expect people to admire you for it; Expect at least some hostility.

Another issue is that people often conflate isolation with independence, or rationality for a lack of emotion. Reason and emotion are not mutually exclusive but are companions. You'll feel much stronger emotions when you're clear headed and can integrate everything back to yourself, in other words, you can think with clarity how some thing or an idea affects you. Talk to any recovering drug addict and they'll tell you that clarity of mind affected their emotional state.

Socialization is pattern recognition. That's all. Nothing special about that in general. However one must consider that people don't always act rational. Non-forced obedience to "authority" figures is not rational, and yet people consider it to be a matter of 'social grace' to surrender themselves for the sake of someone else's interests. Part of developing yourself is breaking off habits that are for the sake of 'social grace' and not of reason.

Something I like to say is that some rules are meant to be followed and some rules are mean to be broken.

Now I don't endorse everything he says, but I think this is a decent enough video to get more attention. It gives a structured perspective on levels of independent mindedness and social dynamics.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Self Improvement is THE only game.

Others will criticise it as intersexual competition, and wanting you to be worse.

Great Video you shared. I've never seen it broken down that way. It sure seems we have more people at level 1-3 than ever before. Sometimes I wonder if its always been that way, and social media has simply provided it a stage so that it appears to be more prevalent than before.

My relationships sure got a lot easier when I dated individuals that were higher up the thinking levels chart. I had too many 1's and 2's, and plenty of 3's.

His views on women are interesting. I'd have to agree that most of them want it to be about them(which is very common)and are one step above children in the hierarchy. It's men that see the bigger picture more often than women.....women take, and men provide.

@Plinco "Being in a more self-improved mindset appears as anti-social to those who are in a less developed stage"

Disquieting truth: Being the sort of person who regularly brings their own thoughts into conscious awareness/investigates those thoughts for their accuracy IS an odd, dare I say, unnatural way of existing. Thus, those who engage in such activity are inevitably viewed with suspicion
