In the last two weeks, 3 names come across from the news.
Vitali Stefurak -- was given $250k from Hawaii for an exotic car, stole the money, planned to leave the country.
Igor Melomed -- racketeering charges, selling stolen stuff through Lombard.
Savva Klishchevskii -- fugitive, caught during operation Tidal Wave.
In each instance official rhetoric was that these people are Russian nationals. In some instance even Russian Mafia. However, none of these are Russian last name. These are Ukranian last names, the last one in the list is a Jewish last name. Cities of origin are Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine for Stefurak. Lvov, Ukraine for Melomed. And Odessa, Ukraine for Klishchevskii.
What is happening and why you are going to see more of this?
You let in a lot of people from that country, no visa, no nothing, and up until recently you were paying them money. Obviously no criminal checks. Anyone who made it, got welcomed. To make it you don't take a flight, no, you take a flight to Mexico, and then walk across the border. Firstly person that abandon's his country, I'm not talking about women and children, grown men, that flee when their country needs them, they aren't of any good quality to begin with. To put it lightly. Secondly no criminal checks, of course you are going to have criminals.
Even success stories like Leonid Radvinsky guy who created OnlyFans. He has his business in a tax heaven, why pay taxes, but he is now Ukranian-American. Guy is a billionaire, but you not seeing anything in taxes from him.
Another one is a Ukranian politician, I forgot his name right off the top of my head, but he is building a hotel in Golden Beach, Florida, somewhat near Bill Gate's house. I'm guessing with money that was sent to Ukraine and never accounted for, just my personal guess.
If you are dealing with someone from that part of the world, ask where they are from. Ukraine. Shake hands, make an excuse and don't deal with them. Because you literally don't know who you will be dealing with. The only thing you know for sure a person who left their country when their country needed them. Plus you know none of them had any criminal checks.
A criminal check looks like this, you come to embassy, and you present them with police records, and they deny you while they check. Then they send you an e-mail and tell you to come back. You wait about a month. About a month they check you if you are clean. That's how it's done in normal mode.
P.S. -- of course people could lie about their origin. Just ask to show you the passport. Ukraine has blue passports, same as United States. No passport with him? Good, I don't carry one with me neither. But, we all have our passports in the phone, we take a picture, always, everyone, no exception. Because back at home, people don't carry passports with them normally day to day, instead people carry photo of passport on the phone, it's convenient. No passport, no photo, you know you are being lied to.
