"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

What do you do when a girl says "sorry i've been busy" or "sorry I forgot to call" or "sorry I can't talk right now I'm busy but I'll call you later" or something along those lines, when you IM or call her and say how's it going. It's always "sorry" and it makes me want to say something about it. I'm not being AFC I just want to know if there's something ****y funny I could say.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

If it happens to often then maybe you should stop calling this girl.

I usually say with a sincere voice: "that's ok I actually went out and ended up having a good time" without being specific. If she likes you then this should send an alarm bells to her head that she better stop acting flakey or else you will continue having a good time without her.

The word sorry is just a cheap coup out. Im quite angered if sokebody tells me sorry with nothing behind it, I want an expanation and a guaratee of effort that it wont happen again.

"Sorry", is a piece of ****.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Yeah, she has low interest dude...
If she wanted to talk to you, she'd make time!

I suggest you stop talking to girls on any type of IM.
Go as far as to block them if they do get your screen name.
You don't want her knowing you are sitting behind a PC ALONE!

****y and Funny eh?

I love saying this when they say sorry.

Her: "Sorry"

Me: No you're not, you are a liar!

Then talk about whatever and say:

"Playing hard to get eh? Nice"

If that doesn't get a reply or her talking, then just next her, but its worked fine for me.

Ahh the flake. Happens to everyone. Usually I ignore the flake. DON'T call her back if she was supposed to call you...and usually it ends there. If she is supposed to call you to let you know if she can make a date...and doesn't, then the next time you talk to her just say "I don't think this is going to work. We aren't compatible". Either her interest will come up or your finished. Either way it puts an end to the flaking.

Well it's not like she was "supposed" to talk to me or anything, but if I see her on AIM I'll talk to her, and she's all apologetic like she owes me something by not talking to me earlier. I'm pretty sure it's low interest level though, I think I had a shot earlier but lost it. Oh well. I'll just stop contacting her.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Yeah I think so man. I had a chick do that to me when I was super AFC. She gave me her # over aim and everything and we talked like 5 or 6 times. I even went to the movies to meet her and she never showed. She apologized to me and she was always initiating conversations with ME. But finally I realized she was just trying to see how far I would go. I hated those days.

You ARE being an AFC. A chick that loves you would never forget to call. You stay on her mind all day. You're all they think about. If you tell them you'll call, they will sit by the phone all weekend to make sure they don't miss your call.

This chick doesn't care about you dude. You're trying to rationalize her actions. Rationalization is the First Amendment in the AFC constitution.
