Rejected, but i don´t know why. Is there a change to change her mind?

Several weeks ago ive met an interesting woman. We chatted and there was a lot of fun and a connection.
During carnaval, a week ago, i met her once more. I suggested to have a drink together soon. She agreed without hesitation. So a few days ago i send her a short message: hey, let´s have a drink in town, in this bar at his time.

She responded:
Hello Littlebigone, i dont think it´s a good idea to have a drink in town. I think you are a great guy but nothing more...sorry. I really like it to have a drink with you in a bar but i am afraid you have intentions. I don´t have those intentions.

Now, i don´t take it too personal but i just don´t understand a woman can change her mind like that. There might be a 1000 reasons for it but it really sucks.

How do such thinks happen???? This can´t be the friendzone....

Edit: I'll be serious now. The answer to your question is yes and no.

She may spot you with a hotter tighter lighter woman and become the returning fox, but by that stage you won't care anyway. So I guess in the grand scheme of things the answer is NO and even if it wasn't and there was a way you might be able to summon Beelzebub himself to change her mind why would you entertain the idea for even a split second? Have some dignity and self worth for goodness sake.

LittleBigOne- Instead of wasting your time and effort on someone who is showing no interest, why not spend that effort on someone who actually likes and deserves you? Even if you somehow landed this girl (after an absurd amount of time and effort), I can guarantee she'll lose interest in the early stages of the relationship and leave you in the dust. Unfortunately, I'm speaking from experience.
