Basically the best way to raise a chicks self esteem, is to show interest in her.

Of course it depends on the girl.

Good point, I hadn't really thought about that. I guess it all stems from the fact that I really don't buy into all this psychological manipulation. I respect my girl, and while I'm not whipped or a pvssy, I don't want to be a womanizing prick either. I want more than just some hot piece of ass. So, when she's feeling down on herself (which I don't get, she's really smart and beautiful), I want to make her feel better, without sacrificing my manhood in the process.

You aren't manipulating her if shes already got low self-esteem, infact, you would be manipulating her if you tried to raise it.

Don't bring her lower, but don't raise her up.

Although in some cases, it may be a good idea to raise their self esteem a bit, but in this situation I'd say no.
