I met this girl 3-months ago. We e-mailed daily for about a week and then
started going out. We went out 4-5 times and we always both mentioned really
enjoyed spending time together. I also took her out for her birthday and gave
her a nice homemade gift of something she was interested in and a kissed her
good night in which she replied, "thank you, I was hoping you would do that".
Five days later (and two months into us knowing each other), she e-mails me and
tells me that she sees us as "just friends" but mentions three separate times
how much she has enjoyed getting to know me. (On a side note, she had a single
best friend (whose a female) about 40 years old she'll always bring up in our
conversations. In some respects I believe her friend may have having a bad
influence on her even though we've never met). I was completely blindsided
because we always told one another how much we cared for each other, how much
fun we had together, and we always looked forward to seeing each other, and we
always e-mailed each other each day. I really care about her, and don't want to
leave her behind, but my gut tells me I should. Do you have any have any good
advice? I know you're busy and please get back with me when you can.
