Is getting married and having a family the way to go to a happy old age situation, with your adult kids to take care of you?

Planning your life based on what you ASSUME other people will do is the domain of fools.

Getting married out of fear is common, but its also retarded. Getting married guarantees absolutely nothing. Divorce is common and kids can grow up to be losers or a*sholes.

You have zero control over other people. You can only control yourself. Other people cannot make you happy either.

If you get married it needs to make logical sense. There are few situations where it does. Most people do it because they perceive it as "secure". However, the fact that people are emotional and unpredictable ensures there is nothing secure about getting married or starting a family in reality.

There are NO guarantees in life not matter what path you choose. So learn to accept that and you will make much smarter life choices.

Everyone dies alone. Having a wife and kids only means you will not be able to save anything for your retirement. In the day it was worth it for a man to get married and have a family, because you received respect. You were king of your household and you were appreciated. It was okay to surrender a bit of your freedom, because society rewarded you for sacrificing for family.

Now fathers and husbands are the butt of sit-com jokes... the man is the blithering idiot. He is either a complete fool or a potential rape... waiting to happen.

The best case is to simply accept that you WILL die alone, and get right with Jesus (or whoever) before it happens.

But if push came to shove, I'd choose a devoted partner over a paid servant any day of the week.

How do you do THAT?

Just make yourself INCREDIBLY valuable to enough people so they'll be DEVASTATED when you die.

You don't really need money for that.
