Might be over thinking, I'm just curious, what's your take on sending one or two funny/friendly texts the day after the date

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

For me. I don't. Not right away. I tell her if I enjoyed myself at the end of the date, or I say nothing. I don't leave her guessing if I enjoyed the date, only if I like her or not. You achieve that by letting her know you had fun, and not texting her right after like a puppy. What do you think she is doing every hour you are not texting her? Thinking about you and why you're not texting her!
Give it more like 4-5 days and do not bring up the past date in your text. Especially if you think a funny joke would be bringing up something you guys talked about on the first date like "Hey Jane, it's Tarzan" or some stupid crap like that. Just don't do it. Be a forward thinker. Save that for the next date, in person, and after rapport is strong enough to not seem like you're reaching for a connection.
Tip: Never think "I would like if she did it to me". You could have a higher IL than her. Short circuit yourself in a hurry. Only think about where her IL might be, and if what you're about to do will raise it, or lower it. If you can't put your finger on her level, do the opposite of what you think you should do. By that, i mean do nothing

to me, you sending her messages like that is the same as asking her "Did you like our date? I want you to reassure me that you like me."

Send her a text the next day telling her you had a nice time.
If she replies, then make plans for the next time. If not, then delete her number.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

ok, but what if she's the one that texts me first, basically saying she's bruised up (played soccer) and asking if I'm seeing a mutual friend (girl)?

Keep your texting short and lighthearted. Do NOT get sucked into a texting conversation. When you text a girl, it should be flirtatious, fun, sometimes even a little bit sexual.BannedGod said:
