Im fairly skinny and Im just looking to put on weight and building muscles and all that stuff is of no real interest to me. I just wanna fill out my frame. I dont think Im a hard gainer cause I lost my apptite for a bit awhile back while there was some problems going on. What im asking is will I bulk up faster if do excrise and weight lifting and all of that or will i be alrite if I go the 6 meals a day route and make sure im eating enough calories and stuff.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Unless you have quite good genetics:

Calories overmaintenance with no lifting=Fat gain
Calories overmaintenace with lifting=Muscle and fat gain
Calories overmaintenance with lifting and cardio+carb cutoffs etc=Muscle gain, possibly some fat loss

So yeh, you should lift if you want to put on weight.

'to fill out your frame' you must gain muscle, otherwise your weight gained will be in the form of bodyfat and go straight to your gut/face/thighs/ass/wherever else you store fat.

you can gain weight, of which a certain proportion will be muscle regardless of whether you train or not, but most will be fat. or you can gain weight, and make it mostly, or even all, muscle.

it is of course easier just to gain mostly fat weight - hit up pizza, soda, McD's, whatever else you like eating.

eating 4k ****ty calories and eating 4k quality calories and add in weight training and cardio will result in the same weight gain either way.. but the QUALITY of the weight gain will be night and day different.

if you want to gain muscular weight, you must train and eat like you do.

Use the "Where to Start" sticky below it, if you want more information on diet etc use the vault.

I was looking at the where to start sticky and I picked the excrise routine on the page. The only thing is it has stuff like Tricep excersise and I followed the link to see how to do this and theres about 5 different types of those excersies and its the same for some other ones. Also what does the likes of ''2 x 10 - 15'' by the excersies mean? Any help much appreciated.

When I write 'Triceps Exercise' it's a triceps exercise of your choice, which one you do doesn't really matter - choose skullcrushers, pushdowns, close grip benches etc. You may want to choose an extension instead of a press however given your earlier chest/shoulder work.

2 x 10-15 means do two sets of that exercise and aim to get between 10 and 15 reps on it. Obviously if you can do less than that, you need to decrease the weight, and if you can do more, you should increase it.
