one night "vacation" is a waste of time. unless it's a weekend road trip somewhere and back. if you're going to fly might as well go three days minimum.

If I fly somewhere I'm staying about 10 days. sometimes more if family are living at the location I'm going.

why dont you take her on a 5 night cruise in a balcony room out of Galveston instead? Same price.

All that hassle (packing, travelling to airport, going thru security, sitting on a tube of metal) for one nights stay? naw.....

I'm going to Rome in a few weeks for $1k per person air + hotel. 8 days. WAY better than one night, very romantic, and only an extra $400!

I'm with the others saying you gotta stay longer. The packing and unpacking hassle is annoying, 3-5 days is the sweet spot imo.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

neil is going to come back from vacation after a day engaged, his favorite girl pregnant and post a field report with all the expenses tallied up.

Next field report will be the wedding ceremony in their favorite strip club, with the four top rated bar fighters and strippers as the groomsmen and bridesmaids.

At least make it a weekend trip. One night is too short. Friday to Sunday or Monday.

Sounds like South Florida. You could have had a prettier beach with better food in Northwest Florida: Destin, Mexico Beach, Panama City, St. George Island
