I live in a country where wages for a well earning developer is $4/hr. Unemployed and under massive education loan of more than $6000, while my father had a loan of collectively more than $12000.
I started working for freelancing companies, and started with $13.5 per hour, and it was a lot for me. Then shifted and joined another company, worked day and night. I am 23.
In less than a year:
1. My education loan is paid.
2. My father's loan is halved.
3. I renovated our another house and gave it on rent to a college student.
4. Helped my partner fill her education loan.
5. Bought bonds, stocks, invested like a madmen with all knowledge and despite being my first year of investment, I am just in less than $100 of loss, when my capital is well beyond thousands of dollars.
6. There is food on the table, and bills are paid. House is clean and we eat as much as we can.
I know the opportunity won't last forever, and I keep going till I can.
I don't get appreciated much by anyone in my life. Everyone gives me space, and accepts what I have done, but no one like hugs me, or pats my head or my back, or looks me in my eyes with comfort and says I worked hard for them.
I keep going. I am closer to the position where the investments can run on themselves and interest dividends from the money itself are substantial enough to sustain a basic life.
So that's all I have for now. This is my achievement.
