I was a little surprised and very glad when I read that post of his. You could already see from previous posts that he was going to pull away eventually, but the question was, when? I for one didn't think it would be that quick. I have felt the same way he now feels for some time (minus the political views), and it's glad to know more people share that view now.

It's also good to see the perspective change in Pook, which to me is a sign of growth. He started the blog completely opposite, but has now given that perspective a dose of hard criticism through his own observations, which was probably hard for him to make. I mean if you think about it, how hard must it be to criticize or question something you believe in? Kudos for him

Oh yea, and after his analysis, he ended it with a Shakespeare quote lol. never ceases to amaze me.

Ah yes, about time. Now that Pook has came around surely his fanboys will be sure to follow. Jokes, if you are stubborn enough to take offense to that. I've often though that the 'mens movement' or whatever you call it, if taken too far is basically the same as femanism. These people always complain about femanists while doing the exact same thing themselves. Even if what they were saying was true, does is ultimately lead to peace, hapiness of fufillment?

Great post Fingz, glad you posted it here or I might not have found it. Perhaps now this forum can move in a more positive direction now held back by the angst found towards women.

I've always been arrogant enough to think I knew best, and society's stupid mandates has always sickened me. I just wish one day people would start realising that life is simple and that they're making it complicated themselves. We're walking apes on a ball of rock that's smaller than any of the stars we see at night. How many people really notice that?

I was going to bring this up, I have to say I've always had hope for Pook, I think he is genius. Also, I saw the bitterness creeping up on him in 03 and tried to address it, still even during the past few months I knew bitterness could not hold Pook. I knew he'd find his way out of it.

I was super happy to read that blog entry of his the other day.

I have tried to talk him into coming back here, but I don't know if he got the message. We shall see.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Bitterness gets ahold of all of us from time to time. When we get burnt, we always try to "make sense of it", try to figure out what it all means, what we should learn, etc...to make our senses of self seem "flawless" again. Sometimes it's better to just feel the pain and learn from it instead of trying to rationalize it, to admit we're not "there" yet, and that's OK.

If you don't go through this kind of "rebirth" from time to time, you'll eventually be forced into it by the circumstances you create for yourself.

I'm glad pook came around. He is smart and wrote some good stuff, but I could tell that before he became good with women, he used to get hurt a lot by women; he probably harbored a lot of resentment because of that.

I remember the first time reading his posts, I would feel very intense emotions. I guess I would describe em as 'liberating' emotions. Pains that I thought were unique to me, but then reading them from someone else, and described in such great detail. . . .I nearly teared.

This is the main reason he is so good. His words are like arrows hitting exactly the core. I guess thats why so many ppl get motivated from his posts. I read his posts every time I feel down about something.

And yes, I had tears in my eyes when I read his posts, especially 15 lessons and aphorisms.

I was seriously worried about him. It took him so long to digest the world. The Anti-femi phase usually dont last that long.

I have probably spent about 30 minutes of cumulative time on MGTOW since i found it. I actually have a link to it in my blog, because i do think there are some good articles there. But, I would put MGTOW in the same category as nomarriage.com. It doesnt actually solve anything. It may lend itself to AWARENESS on certain issues, but awareness does not translate to resolution. It ends up being a bunch of burned, bitter men who hate women, western society, and have a nihilistic attitude towards relationships in general. They are defeated before they even step into the ring.

There is a lot of that on this site as well. We see men who have made poor decisions transcribe their negative experiences with women into a rhetoric of misogyny and self-importance.

The whole "prize" thing gets grossly misinterpreted. Frankly i find it annoying. The intention is to get guys to come from a position of confidence and qualification rather than the reverse. But simply ASSUMING or IMAGINING your are "the prize" is no different than living in the hyper-reality Pook described. Frankly I think it is arrogant. While there is merit to being cognizant of your own value, the mentality that is so often pimped here presupposes that your value is of universal beneficience to ALL women; and it isnt. Im not talking to anyone in particular, but get a grip on reality. Some of you are no different than a boy parading around in a Superman cape.

I have no delusions of grandeur. I know I am still growing as a Man, both internally and professionally, and that I hold different value to different women, just as they hold different value to me. I think a DJ should operate from a position of recognizing and choosing the woman who values him, not simply assuming that he is of equal value to all.

'He' said it himself once, but you really must not put too much effort into psychoanalyzing the Pook, or assuming that what he writes reflects the whole truth of his personal thoughts. 'Pook' is an invention, and I'm not sure how much of what he says can be taken at face value. He is constantly contradicting himself - the best example being how he used to mock people on So Suave for comparing women to 'Norwegian rats', then did all those posts on Pook's Mill comparing women to fishermen, casinos and Hanna Barbara cartoons (??!!).

Now perhaps that was a sort of parody, but you see my point - you can't take it at face value. This latest post is not necessarily a complete rejection of the MGTOW philosophy - it's more a general dissatisfaction with the people who ***** on the MGTOW forums.

'Pook' tends to write in bold, definite statements, does not permit any vagueness in his writing. If he didn't do that, it would be a lot easier to see that his early posts are the first stage of a gradual shift in thinking - but because he writes in this bombastic way, his fanboys get confused as to why his 'gospel' keeps changing.

The guy likes to play with ideas, and that is all that the blog is - playing around with ideas. In a way it is irresponsible because the Pook fanboys (myself included) place a lot of weight on his words. You really need to approach that blog with a healthy distance.
